Alexander’s Planet Degrease Coffee

In a busy coffee shop, portafilter baskets and group heads accumulate coffee oils with every shot pulled. The traditional procedure is an 15-30 minute immersion in powder detergent with thorough scrubbing – time-consuming, and repeated mechanical scrubbing accelerates wear on basket mesh and metal surfaces over time. With Degrease Coffee there is no need to scrub. The active foam does the chemical work that scrubbing was doing mechanically – cutting through oils and organic deposits on contact, so the basket comes out clean after a rinse with no abrasion to the metal.

Degrease Coffee is produced in Italy by Alexander’s Planet Srl and formulated under Reg. 648/2004 with 90% biodegradability. It is odourless, which means it leaves no residue or scent that could transfer to the next shot.

Available in Cyprus through coffeeshopcy. Two variants are stocked: with spray nozzle (first purchase) and without spray nozzle (refill). If you already have the bottle, buy the refill version and keep your nozzle – they are identical in contents.

If you already own a Degrease Coffee bottle spray, purchase the refill (without nozzle) version. The spray nozzle from your existing bottle fits directly. Do not dispose of the nozzle.

HOW TO USE

Portafilter & Filter Basket Cleaning

1. Spray 3-4 times inside the filter basket and portafilter. Do not spray onto the portafilter handle and do not spray on the coffee machine.
2. Let it sit for 60 seconds.
3. Rinse thoroughly with water. No brushing or scrubbing required – the foam does the work.

Backflush – Group Head Cleaning

1. Insert the blind basket into the portafilter.
2. Spray 2 times into the blind basket.
3. Insert the portafilter into the group head and run the coffee machines automatic cleaning program.
   1. If the machine is not equipped with an automatic cleaning program:
      1. Run the machine for 10 seconds, stop for 5 seconds.
      2. Repeat this cycle 3 times in a row.
4. Run a clean water flush to rinse.

SAFETY

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Wear protective gloves, clothing, and eye/face protection during use.
• Avoid release into the environment.
• If swallowed: rinse mouth, do not induce vomiting, call a poison centre or doctor immediately.
• If on skin: remove contaminated clothing, rinse skin thoroughly.
• If in eyes: rinse thoroughly for several minutes, remove contact lenses if possible, continue rinsing.
